FluentCRM is a CRM that also sends email: contact profiles, funnels, a lot of integrations. Postalion is a newsletter plugin: it does one job and tries to do it with as few steps as possible. If you are choosing between them, the question is mostly how much CRM you need.

Why someone picks Postalion
- It is small. A newsletter, a form, a welcome email and a digest are set up in an afternoon. The screens are few and say what they do.
- The free plugin is complete: twelve templates, popup and form under posts, spam protection (throwaway domains, Akismet, Turnstile), digests by category, unsubscribe reasons, inactive-subscriber cleanup, imports from Mailchimp, MailPoet and Newsletter.
- Pro costs less than half and covers what a newsletter-first site needs: sequences, visual automations, segments by behaviour, abandoned carts, review requests, one-time coupons, the builder, A/B subjects, bounce handling, an API and webhooks.
Where FluentCRM is the better choice
- You want a CRM: a timeline per contact, notes, companies, lead scoring, and email as one part of it.
- You live in the Fluent family (Fluent Forms, FluentCart, FluentSMTP, FluentBooking): the pieces are made to fit together.
- You need very long funnels with many integrations (LMS, memberships, affiliate plugins) out of the box.
Moving over
Export your contacts from FluentCRM as CSV and import them under Postalion → Subscribers → Import CSV: email, names, a tags column and your custom field columns are read; addresses already on the list are skipped. See Import and export.
